Individual Pitch Ratings

Hi all,

I'm honestly not sure if this is a bug or not but I wanted to ask to get some clarity from the technical team.

Maybe I don't understand this game in enough detail but I noticed individual pitch ratings are terrible in OOTP25 for a number of pitchers. They also don't really line up with their overall ratings. Attached are screenshots of some of the egregious ones I've noticed - there are more.

I know it shows scouting on but I double checked against the editor and it's being correctly displayed. Is there something wrong here? To me it just doesn't make much sense.

Or can someone explain the logic in terms of evaluating them? Normally I would expect good pitchers to have good ratings for their individual pitches.

I understand that it is a bug of visualization of the pitches, because when you see the rating of Stuff it is relatively correct, supposedly it is working as it should be inside the game engine but at the level of visualization there is an underestimation of ratings.

Yes, this only affects the pitch view and it makes certain pitches look worse than they are.

The good news is that it's a visual thing only, it doesn't affect the actual pitch ratings, stuff or player performance.

We're working on fixing this up.

Even though in the editor it shows those ratings as actual? Like I cross referenced in commissioner mode to see what the true values were and they are essentially the same.

For guys like Mikolas with a lot of pitches and really low stuff, who just don't have good pitch values to begin with, it might be more similar between the view and the editor than for other guys.

But for some pitchers the view is definitely lower than it probably should be, based on the editor.
