Prospects not developing
Hey all,
I've run about 16 seasons on the new OOTP25 (on three different teams. about 5 seasons for each team) and NONE of the prospects seem to be developing. After years, my 4 and 5 star guys are still hitting .120 in Rookie ball (or .068 in A ball). And that's with me pumping in over $30 million in my PLAYER DEVELOPMENT budget. Is there a game setting trick to induce faster and more realistic prospect development? On the PLAYERS & TEAM tab under GAME SETTINGS, there are options for BATTER DEV SPEED and PITCHER DEV SPEED. Any suggestions for there? It is tiresome to play this and have everyone wear down over the years but no one ever develop to take their place. Thanks! |

How are the relative ratings of those prospects compared to the league they play in, in this case Rookie Ball. since the stats or output are the results of the ratings. If they are above 50 (20-80 scale) the ratings for contact, power, gap, etc... there would be no reason for those results. Another problem with the Rookie level is that there are only a few games and the sample can be very small, more in consideration if the team is completely run by the CPU, are you sure they are playing all the games? |

Haven't downloaded the patch yet. Doing that now.
It isn't so much that I've got a 30 prospect failing in AA ball. Its everyone at every level. My top 5 star guys (I have the top ranked farm systems always) sit in Rookie ball for four years and never develop or start hitting. Not just some. All. If I monkey with the batter development factor, what is a good number to use? Is it just going from 1.00 to like 1.20? Or do I need to go from 1.00 to like 2.5? |
