Above Max Rates?

I haven't seen this before.

I am using 1-20 ratings ranges as Trevor Richards has a 'Stuff vs. RHB' rating of 21.

It's under Global Settings - about half way down left side "show ratings > max"

It's been there for several versions, however it used to be off by default. I believe it is now on by default.

I am having stars that exceed the potential stars. I thought this was due to the show ratings > max tab also. But mine is still showing 4 stars for current, with a 2.5 stars potential on some players.

In previous years that was a bug with two-way players, I don't know if that's where you're seeing it or if this is a different issue.

So we always had players with numbers above the max, we just didn't know it?

(And, well, that means the Max isn't actually the Max. It should be called something else.)

OOTP24 Manual:

The vast majority of ratings fall in the range defined by your ratings scales. However, there are some rare cases where a player will have a rating that is over the defined maximum, such as a 120 on a 1-100 scale. You can choose whether these ratings should be displayed as their actual ratings, or if you just want to consider anything above the max as the max, i.e. treating "120 out of 100" as "100 out of 100."

The setting to enable the display of ratings above max has always been there.
