Injured reserve list?

Hello FHM community.
I am a long time OOTP player who just bought FHM10 and am liking what I see so far. Don't know hockey all that well and have a question.

I am in 1974, trade deadline just passed, I have two players on my roster who are out for over 100 days each. I cannot seem to place them on an injured reserve list. Is that because I am doing something wrong (cannot find the right button to push) or is that because there is no injured reserve list? Or is it that I should just send them to the minor league for the duration of their injury?

Looking for some good hockey FHM education.

BTW, I am doing the Kansas City Scouts challenge. Really nice FHM feature.

How have you been trying?

Are you right clicking on their names on the Roster Screen?

Here is another question. I like to hire the best coaching staff I can. Looks like I ran out of budget for staff. When can increase those budget items?

Couple more questions if you don't mind

I have negotiated a couple of contracts and the only way to have the player sign was to "meet demand". If i tried to change their demand, I was not successful. Is that normal? Tips to have some give and take?

Before the trading deadline, I was able to make some trades but I was the one to initiate all my trades. Should I receive trade offers from other teams? I do get that some players are on the market with three teams mentioned as potential trade partners, is that FHM trade offers? Just used to OOTP trade offers.

Is there a "can not be fired" tab. I like to pretend that I am owner/GM of the teams. Just too much stress trying not to get fired.

Go to FILE -> Setup / Options. Left side ("Other Options") you can find "Cannot be fired".
