The "Playing Catch" mission has been active for 26 days now. There are six cards you must buy in order to complete the mission. The irons, two bronzes, a Gold catcher from the Kansas City Monarchs in 1929, and good old Silver Mike. The mission rewards you with three historical silver packs if you complete it. You can occasionally buy historical silver packs for 4,000 PP direct from the pack store.

Today is the first time I can remember seeing Silver Mike with a top bid of less than 11,000 PP's showing for more than a small part of a day.

There's no follow-up mission to this one that has been announced, but I don't follow discord at all. So perhaps I have missed something.

Pack rewards that require all the cards tend to have a pretty expensive one in there that has popped up less in packs. Typically, after a month or two, those prices come down quite a bit. Pack missions are not worth completing early on unless you're a top player - complete them as they make fiscal sense (as far as PP) to complete and the reward is worth more than the locking the cards in.

As for being connected to other missions - Pretty soon there will be a "Checkpoint 3" mission which requires completing all the pack missions since "Checkpoint 2" - the last one gave out three historical diamond packs; I'd expect this one to give out something at least that if not better for the point in the year we are at.

Additionally, I'd expect to see an overall mission for completing Checkpoints 1-3 that'll give an historical perfect pack.
