What if I don't want to manage?

Another noobie question: What if I just want to set up a fictional league and let it run for multiple decades, without managing any teams?

I just want to watch the world unfold and maybe tinker at the macro level (adding, subtracting teams as time goes by, etc.).

How does that work? Do I have to create a manager and all that?

Another related question: If I do create a manager and run the league for 100 years, does he die? retire? Thanks again!

You just don't select a team, sim to year X, turn on Do Not Disturb option in the "Manager's Office" tab and watch the world unfold. Hit esc to stop the sim. All the teams will have managers. They will retire, get fired, etc. as the unfolding occurs. Turn on "Commissioner Mode" from that same "Manager's Office" to be omnipotent and able to tinker.

If you as the gameplayer are the manager and you start at X years of age, you will be X + 100 years of age after a century has gone by.
