My OOTP v25 Plan...

After much self-evaluation (some of it painful), I've concluded that (1) I simply don't want to compete in the "money challenge" of Perfect Team, (2) I simply am not interested in studying the mathematical formulas and stat tracking that will result in the best possible odds, and (3) I just want to play online baseball with others and experience some level of success.

This is the enjoyment I experienced with the "Our Team" group until it ended after Stanley Kuppchaser passed.

So. Next year I am going to set up three teams; (1) with the strongest team I can construct using only Bronze cards, (2) the strongest team I can build with only Silver cards, and (3) the best team I can assemble with only Gold cards. At, or around the All-Star break I will use what I have in reserve to "graduate" these teams one level to Silver-Gold-and Diamond teams... and hopefully end up with competitive teams by the end of the baseball season.

Yes, that means I will not use or keep Perfect cards beyond trying to turn them into Perfect Points that will get me cards that will fill my operating teams.

I think that will give me an environment that will give me the enjoyment I'm looking for - getting rid of that always present "need" to climb the Pyramid. If your not a "100%-In" player, Perfect level is unattainable and Diamond is almost certainly a short visit.

Thus, my plan... It will be interesting, at least, to see how I fair.

I think this is an outstanding plan and that you will enjoy it very much. Slow playing a team is great fun. I accidentally adopted this strategy with 3 of my teams this year.

BTW, you don't have to wait until PT25. You can start 3 more teams because you played last year. Anyone who played last year is entitled to 6 teams, (plus 1 more for Go). Ghost ship your current teams and start over!
