Tired of seeing the same old pitchers.

By the time you get to Gold...

It's always Santana, Drysdale, Cone, Tannana, Chesbro and/or Carpenter (repeat)

It would be more interesting if it were like PT live...

Ya get one or two Aces
Two golds
One Silver in starting staff. Make people work for it!!!!

Two reasons in my opinion (both bad for the game):

1. The premier pitchers are mostly part of Limited Editions (especially 10 copy & 25 copy) and are therefore unavailable and/or outrageously expensive.

2. The mission rewards that in prior years were the source of the top Ps no longer exist (with a few exceptions). Even the NL toppers like Donaldson and Paige are not as good as the unobtainable packable cards (Rogan for example) in the same missions.

I hate to be negative because I love this game and the whole concept of OOTPB. But if we don't complain, how will they know?

Looking forward to better days ahead. We aren't even at the all-star break yet.

I love the game too. But as you say, only the squeaky wheel gets greased.

PT was getting a better every year, then the money mongers took over. There are still improvements that I love last year and this. The improved Card Shop over the AH and the stadiums are fantastic. But trying to squeeze more money out of us every Thursday without the break of decent Missions to let the little guys like most of us feel good about our teams turns Thursday into just let me turn down the volume and get my 5 packs day.

Usually during Kris' reign, we got decent Missions every couple of weeks. Now we get standard packs for guys named Ichabod or some such Missions. The Missions that I have seen so far this whole season could have been thrown together in one afternoon and other than the NL Missions have little if anything to do with the Great Game. Just get a new Mommy book with boys' names and throw something together.Who cares anyway?

I've started and erased this post so many times I'm just going to summarize my feelings...

If the interest level of "low investment customers" dies off by the All-Star game because improving your team requires $$, then the game basically dies after 4 months for most customers.

The only "fix" to this is to extend the release of better cards AT LEAST from April to October. After the playoffs, most baseball fans are going to move on to other things anyway - but losing them at the All-Star break is a crime.

Here we are ready to enter July and the only way my three teams get better is to either spend a lot of $$ or get super lucky on a pack or three. I don't see either happening.

Sad epitaph ...

I think 33% of players are done with the game after they've opened their starter packs.

As far as hitting a wall by July, the solution to that is start a new team!

It gets easier to build a strong team the later in the year you start, with October being the sweet spot, in my opinion. Everyone who played last year gets SIX teams.

Oh man, I put way too much time into playing and have built up my one team to jump in for more teams LOL.

I don't know what team you have, but you could start a new team on Monday and build the identical team in half the time and for half the cost and with twice as much leftover points.

I honestly wish I could, but my playstyle just doesn't lend itself to doing that. I have like a million quicksell value in live cards right now, lol (and almost nothing else).
