Thoughts on Hosting OOTP Saved Game Files on OneDrive??

How does OneDrive work for you when using it to host saved game files? I tried it in the past, like 5-7 or so years ago and it really clogged up the folder and didn't work well for me. It's because of this reason that I don't sync my local documents folder with my OneDrive docs folder. Since OneDrive has presumably improved over those years, I'm hoping that it will work well now so I don't have to spend a couple of hours transferring saves from my PC to my laptop when I go on a trip.

Can anyone shed some light on how this works for you? Does it make it easier to share saved games between synced computers or are there still issues?

So it's absolutely possible to do and I know of a few people who do that. However, when it comes to sync systems especially ones like OneDrive, Googe Drive, and Dropbox you just have to be really careful and attentive to your syncing. It can very quickly corrupt a save if there's any issue syncing the main .dat files.

So it's absolutely possible but you just have to be careful and double check it each time you do a sync across devices.

So essentially ensure that your files are synced before attempting to play?

Yes exactly. If it tries to sync while OOTP is attempting to overwrite and save that's where you can have issues.
