Wild Shut Out - Again
Game 3 - Anaheim 4, Minnesota 0. That's 3 games in a row with scoring a goal. Again, Giguere is simply amazing.

JS is playing really good but I don't think he is all that the media is making him out to be. The Ducks are playing really good defense and the Wings/Stars/Wild are not getting enough traffic in front of the net and not crashing the net. The Wings and Stars didn't take them seriously and just thought that they would eventually win if they kept up their game. That didn't happen.
Most playoff goalies should be expected to stop almost all shots that they have full sight of and nobody bothering them. The Wild are just cooked at the moment. After playing 2 long and hard 7 game series their lack of talent and experience is showing now. Can you imagine how awful a Devils/Wild final would be have been? 7 games of 1-0 overtime wins. It will be interesting to see how the Ducks stand up to the Senators offense in the finals. -Darryl |

And don't forget about Paul Korea! He had a couple points last night. It's looking pretty good for MY Ducks! This is the culmination of a lifetime of heartbreak and frustration by our proud little hockey franchise. I can really relate to the Cubs and Red Sox fans out there!

LivnLegend, as a fan of one of the teams (the Dallas Stars) to get mowed down by your Mighty Ducks on their inexorable march to championship, let me offer my warmest regards to you and all the long-suffering fans in Anaheim. You truly deserve to see championship hockey after decades of tireless support.

Comeback from 3-0? Hmm, why not? We've already done 3-1 twice!
![]() Giguere has been both amazing and amazingly lucky. That's an unbeatable combo. He's white-hot right now!

I was personally hoping for a Stars (the Minnesota deserters) vs the Wild (their replacements) in this round, but the way the Wild are playing, it's probably better that didnt happen
![]() I'm not much of a hockey fan, but I would have watched the 1st game in MIN of the DALvsMIN series

This whole thing is begging for a D4 movie. Doesn't matter whether they lose to NJ or not (which, of course, they will) since they can make the ending like that one in Little Big League. (I laugh everytime I watch the end of that movie, by the way - screw the Twins.)
If you were truly psychic though, DD, you wouldn't have wasted your time watch all those Avs games. ...which reminds me, is Patrick Roy really retiring? Damn, I hope so.

The Wild is gone
![]() Patrick Roy could very well be the best goaltender ever to play the game, and I don't think anyone could play better than Roy when he's totally focused (which he wasn't this year, unfortunately for the Avalanche).
