End of Season 07, v24

Baltimore Barons (PT+)
Diamond 354, 64-98, Relegated to Gold
7 Perfects, SP Jacob deGrom, SP Carlos Rodon, SP Justin Verlander, RP Edwin Diaz, 3B Nolan Arenado, 3B Ken Caminiti (backup), SS Carlos Correa

FROM - 5 Perfects, 20 Diamonds, 1 Silver (78 Jackie Robinson)
TO - 7 Perfects, 19 Diamonds

With 7 Perfects and 19 Diamonds, I would have expected to at least stay in Diamond, but it's clear the level is saturated with whales at this point. How one does in each season is also heavily dependent on who you get grouped with, and it seems 29 other teams were better than me this time around. I do have about 55k in points, but at this stage there isn't anyone available at that price that would make much of a difference. Hoping Gold Level will be kinder to me next season. One high-point; Frank Tanana, being used as a Closer, ended the season with a 17 game shutout streak (3,000 points).

Cleveland Commodores (F2P)
Bronze .211, 81-81, will stay in Bronze
1 Perfects, RF Aaron Judge

FROM -1 Perfect, 17 Diamonds, 8 Gold
TO - 1 Perfect, 20 Diamonds, 5 Gold

Not much of an improvement this week/season, but the team did well enough to stay in Bronze. I'll have to put off a jump to Silver until I get luckier with my pack pulls. This is an example of an F2P team, without PT+, that gets a bad series of pulls at the start, and sees little luck in weekly pack pulls or mission completion.

Akron Aeros (F2P)
Gold .304, 76-86, will stay in Gold
3 Perfects, LF Tim Raines,1B Freddie Freeman, RF Ronald Acuna Jr.

FROM - 3 Perfects, 22 Diamonds, 1 Gold
TO - 3 Perfects, 21 Diamonds, 2 Gold

This was another disappointment in having no chance of improving the team through packs or missions. The Aeros did exceptionally well in the beginning, but the lack of PT+ is starting to show.

All-in-All, a very bad week for HRB. The PT+ team is holding on just a bit better than the other two, but nothing to write home about.

I have 3 PT+ teams that I started in week 3

In 5 weeks, one of them has made the playoffs and advanced every season; this season in Silver it won 107 games. In addition to the live mission completion, it has Helton at 1B, Seybold training up in CF (he'll go to 89), Chipper Jones at DH, Blackwell in the rotation, the Diamond Utley at 2B, and a three-headed all diamond late relief corps of Clase, Garber, and Jakie May. It also has 41 K in the bank, pending playoff achievements and end of season awards. With the 25K first time gold award, I'll be adding a ~75K player to the squad, either in the rotation or in RF (where I'm running Guerrero rather than Drew). A 65 K starter and Drew is a possibility too.

The other two both won their divisions in Bronze; they weren't as lucky as the above team in pack pulls. The better of two has a 32K war chest for an improvement for the Silver level, the other team only 16K. PT+ is a definite advantage; these teams are otherwise FTP.

The New York Patriots achieve their first winning season (88-74) and playoff appearance in diamond since PT21, but can't complete the miracle run and are knocked out in 6 in the LCS. Knowing that better teams than ours are coming up for next week, I honestly feel like this was our one best chance to reach the promised land. Probably going back to treading the fine line between survival and relegation next week. This one hurts. Bad.

Can't even have any good tournament form to soften the blow because I'm running cold in those again.

Yeah, I feel the same way. It's difficult to imagine that PT+ or "luck" will drop me another card or two to visit Diamond again. Focus from here on out will likely be to stabilize my teams in Gold for the duration.

Feel very blessed to have made the playoffs in every season I've plaved so far, and making the promotion list every year as well since joining the league in 2026.

Finally up in Silver after winning it all in Bronze.

Praying the upward climb continues!
