Expand by 1 Team
My online league, which has run for 14 seasons is looking to expand from 15 to 16 teams. Currently 1 league, 3 divisions. Moving to 2 leagues, 4 divisions
The program though only allows you to expand by two teams and gives me the uneven number of teams warning when I am actually in fact trying to give my league an even number of teams. I copied the league file and am trying to simulate it to work to try and get it right before we do it officially. I started the process with 2 teams, deleted one of those two new teams and started the process of moving all of the teams to 4 new divisions in 2 leagues. I ask'd the AI for all the protection lists just to for testing purposes and when I was set it wouldn't let me select the 1 remaining team for the first pick and the start draft was greyed out. I am going to copy the file to a few more teams to run some more test cases as all that maneuvering may have messed it up. Has anyone run into this before or have other methods for expanding by1 team that incorporates a draft process? |

In a situation like this it may be necessary to contract a team and then expand by TWO. That may not be the optimal solution in your online league if every team is played by a human. Someone may come along with a better idea, or perhaps post in the 24 forum to get more eyes on this.
Have a good day man.

It looks like I can do it by expanding by two but immediately deleting one.

I don't know where you are with this and if it's even possible with an online league, but I would highly recommend testing this out first by making a copy of your league and then seeing if what you are trying to do works out ok
