Hello,
Why are there players from the U.S in the international complex? Thanks in advance, Pontus. |

Do they have second nationalities of other nations?
Sometimes there may be a player born in the US but with Dominican or other citizenship that will move there and sign as an IAFA.

There are some U.S players with second nationalities. I count them to 5. But there are 10 U.S players with no second nationality (all 30 MLB teams)
All these players have names that sound international but like i said no second nationality. Two examples... https://ibb.co/KqMK57r https://ibb.co/LQDzxzT This save started fresh with the latest patch, for the record. Last edited by sutnopia; 05-15-2023 at 11:49 AM. |

Maybe a stupid question... but is this working as intended? If not, can a patch fix this or do i need to start a new save?
Thanks in advance! |

Also. Be wary. There are probably a ton of international players that show an American university. Mostly of which is Abilene Christian

Is the US set as one of the source countries for IAFA in the League->Players tab of the settings? It shouldn't be by default, but that could be what's causing this.

Greudis De Los Santos is actually born in Villa Mella, D.R., so he should not be listed as American. This is likely a bug, but he should be in the D'Backs complex. Juan Uribe should really be Juan Uribe Jr. He should have at least Dominican as a second nationality, but he was born in the U.S. (Chicago). He signed out of the D.R. and should be in the Sox complex. My guess is most of the other American players have similar answers. There could be another Vladdy situation, as he was an international complex player, but had Canadian nationality (which shouldn't be generated on default for IAFA). I can't remember off the top of my head, but in past games the standard MLB game had a few USA guys that usually had a second nationality as one you'd expect from an IAFA. |

Juan Uribe, Jr (one you have) if not mistaken was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He's the son of Juan Uribe, Sr who fathered him in his days with Whitesox |
