AI Signs FA to One-Year Deal After Regular Season End (having missed the playoffs)

Issue:

NYM (AI) signs FA Thielbar on October 7, 2026 after the regular season ends:






The problem is, this was a one-year deal (expires at the end of the 2026 season):






The bigger problem, is that NYM was eliminated from the playoffs, and the regular season ended rendering the signing useless:





I am aware this is probably just a case of bad AI, but this would obviously never happen in real life.

Update: The next season PIT made the same mistake. Noticing this is very common.

Thanks for sharing Josh, I've been having the same issues and was going to report it too.

Hopefully they'll pick up on this one
