Lock a player to your team

Is there a way to lock a player to your PT team? I have a player that was my childhood hero and he keeps getting pushed to the reserve roster as I have better players than him at his position. The only option I see is "Force start/Use position" thinking maybe that would do the trick but it doesn't. Any ideas or do I just need to sell the better players ahead of him?

Don't let the AI control roster?

Report it in the bug forum. Although they may have done this as an anti-dumping measure. But that's really crazy, since there are hundreds of instances where a player is better than most of the players with OVR ratings 5-10 points better than his (and I'm talking about live to live and non-live to non-live.

You may be using the "have AI set up your roster" button too much.

Apologies, wasn't meant to come off as AHole. AI control is the issue. I found that out end of last season in PT

When you're building a lineup the very last person you should ask for advice is the AI.

Seems to be especially bad this year, tbh, as I got lazy for a few days last week and turned on AI. It gave me a lineup with no backup at 2B and wore my starter into the ground.

I agree that it seems especially terrible with depth charts this year.

If you have that problem, also check your Perfect Team Settings. On the right columb, there are four control settings. The last of the four is set to "Computer Manage Roster Moves" by default. Set that to your User Name.
