Game Freezes

When playing a game, several times the game has just ceased to work. This happens when I have a substitute player, usually a pinch hitter. Usually, the game will bring up a black screen with a dialogue box telling me that I have an injured player or lineup situation to correct. As soon as click the okay box, it then takes me to my lineup so that I can make the necessary changes, however, about every six to seven times that this is required, the black screen will come up but no dialogue box. Nothing on the screen works, I have to use the ctrl/Alt/Del function on my computer to close the game. I then lose everything that I have done since the last save, which is weekly. The last time this occurred, my team was on a 5-1 run and I was playing the Sunday game. I cannot recover that record no matter how many times I try to replay this week. Will a new patch be released to correct this issue?

Are you on the latest patch? We'd had some instances of this on earlier patches, but patch 52 should have fixed these.
