Position Rating Question

I was looking at Johnny Mize, and thought "Hey 80 at 1B, maybe he should play there and let Gehrig DH"
Then I actually compared them

Why is Mize rated 80 at 1B when EVERY defense stat for Gehrig is better and he is rated 79??

A player's height is very important at 1B.

Height is a major factor for 1B, which is actually realistic. I was forced to move from 3rd to 1st, because I am 6'4".

And the reason a tall 1B is preferred isn't actually the ability to reach for off target throws, its to reach towards the throw cutting the distance from the fielder to 1B glove.

That should be built into ratings though - range could be the one area affected by height.

I've seen a ton of really FAST guys in this game get really low OF Range ratings. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. There is no rating in this for break, vision, or route running.
