AI Evaluation Settings Change?

Good morning,

I have noticed on a couple of OOTP 24 streams that the AI Evaluation Settings are 30/50/15/5. Is this new? Because the previous default settings were 65/20/10/5.

Thank you,
RB

Yes, they changed. I am not sure what the reasoning behind this is. I would love to hear something about this though from the developers.

I just created a new real-world MLB game, and the default AI evaluation settings are 60/25/10/5. I also created a new historical game, and the settings are 30/50/15/5. They are different depending on which kind of game you've created.

The good news is that we can set them to anything we want, and I have always used 50/30/15/5 or 55/30/10/5. Soon I am going to experiment with eliminating stats from two years ago and increasing the emphasis on ratings even further. That would be a bit less realistic in some ways, but I suspect that it will make the AI better at evaluating talent and managing lineups in a sim environment where the ratings and league totals drive everything.

Yes, this is the case...it won't be as realistic but it will help the AI for sure. I DO like 55/25/15/5 though, which is pretty close to what you are using. The ratings weight MUST be at least 55 IMO. But really the best job I have seen the AI do while still using some stats is 65/20/10/5.

Be aware that the default this year is to incorporate stats into scouting reports...so scouting reports are already be influenced by stats no matter what (unless you turn this off). So if you are using this option, I would suggest a much higher ratings weight for sure.
