More Robust Associations

With OOTP23, for the first time I tried setting up an Association between two of the top-tier leagues in my game world.

As things stand, I think associations work okay. I like the basic roster rules and the idea of shared drafts that can be done between associated leagues, but I think Associations are an area that more can be done with.

If nothing else, I'd like to see more of the individual league options be available to Associations, which are then applied to all of the associated league, like how federal laws typically override state laws.

I think having things available like an Association All-Star Game, Awards, and an association-wide trade deadline would be just a few areas in which the Association format could be strengthened. In fact, I personally think everything in the "League Rules" tab should be available in the "Association Setup & Options" tab.

After all, it was actually until not all that long ago that the two leagues of Major League Baseball - National & American - were technically two associated leagues with their own offices & presidents, and above that Major League Baseball had rules that the two leagues agreed upon.

totally agree. and to add onto this I also would like to make a MiLB association that can be affiliated with a MLB association. It's very painstaking to have 2 separate sets of AAA when I have 2 pro leagues in an association, and so on. I would love to be able to have one singular AAA league affiliated with the MLB association

Improving associations is an ongoing request from many of us. They're not functional enough for people to use them.

My one big request: Don't give the association playoff stats all to the home team's league!
