Roller Hockey Dynasty!

For those that are interested, I am running an FHM9 blog on various exploits. In this case, I am doing a roller hockey save and you can read the season preview, amongst other things, here: http://www.franchisehockeymanager.xy...n-preview.html

We are just past the All-Star game and headed into the home stretch. We've one one star-for-star trade as we approach the January 21 trade deadline of this 62-game regular season. I've tried to make this website as close to a league website as possible, where you can see our very own St. Paul Northern Lights leading the league in points!

I made a little spreadsheet I'll copy and paste into this box to illustrate how everyone is doing with points percentage.

Team Total Points # of games Pct.
St. Paul Northern Lights 101 48 0.7014
Anaheim Bullfrogs 92 51 0.6013
Portland Pioneers 73 49 0.4966
Toronto Toros 80 48 0.5556
Boston Blades 69 48 0.4792
Dallas Renegades 70 50 0.4667
Colorado Freeze 70 47 0.4965
Philadelphia Phantoms 61 49 0.4150
San Francisco Seals 68 48 0.4722
New York Americans 48 50 0.3200

League's Worst Team
New York Americans 0.3200

Suprised Philadelphia is doing so bad their team looked the best on paper

Indeed. I now look silly in my pre-season summaries of some teams. From my discussion on the Phantoms: "Summary:
The Phantoms are the closest thing to a complete team the RHA has. If they have one weakness, it might be at left wing. However, the talent they have should be able to cover for that if need be. One thing to look out for: the rumor mill has it that the Phantoms' locker room is in quiet disarray. This is usually something that, of itself, does not deter roller hockey professionals. However, if it devolves into open conflict, trouble could follow for the league's presumed frontrunners.

Team Record: 16-1-21-11 (61 pts.)"

It neither devolved into open conflict nor did they fulfill their potential. The Anaheim Bullfrogs are where it's at--that, and our team. More and more the Seals' pre-season tourney win over them looks like a total fluke.

The RHA Clash of the Titans is here!

It's the top 6 of 10 teams with three from each division. Division winners get byes, as you can see, while the other four teams pair up and play a best-of-five series. You can see the end-of-regular season standings below (websites of teams to be updated sometime over the next couple of days).

I've never done this before, but I am thinking of live-streaming the RHA Clash of the Titans championship series. I don't even think I have a Twitch, but I'll keep everyone updated.

To follow up on this, I have adapted the Advanced Analytic tool for this league, and it confirms Philly was the unluckiest team with respect to expected vs. actual points in the standings. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

The next step is the championship series between Anaheim and St. Paul, and the awards ceremony: http://www.franchisehockeymanager.xy...-champion.html

Absolutely! Sorry about that. I've got it here on the drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/197f...ew?usp=sharing

I also am expanding by two teams in both the RHA and the minors.

RHA: Ottawa Otters (East), Detroit Vipers (West)

Minors: Orlando Solar Bears (Ottawa), New Jersey Stars (Detroit)--and yes, this means there is both a Jersey and a New Jersey in the minors.

I've updated the schedule to 64 games (from 62), and made cross-division meetings increase from 2 to 4. Now, a team will play cross-division rivals a total of 24 times (6 x 4), and their five division rivals should be eight times each, totaling 40 games. The division rivals were playing each other 13 times each, which is kind of insane. I also added Patrick Roy for this year's historical player, and placed him on Brampton in juniors. I'm getting a lot ready for the season, and want to mention big free-agent signings (Ottawa snagged the biggest one!), but I need to plan out what I am going to write.

Sorry, I just realized you can't see what happened to the Toros. They lost, surprisingly, 3-0 to the Blades. I did not see a clean sweep coming.

The two newest RHA teams, the Ottawa Otters and Detroit Vipers, each played their first-ever regular-season games (not against each other). Find out what happened at the Otter's Den and Wells Fargo Arena! http://www.franchisehockeymanager.xy...rs-win-on.html

The 2023-2024 season preview is here! http://www.franchisehockeymanager.xy...sociation.html

I am also proud to announce a brand-new RHA-dedicated channel! It's here that I plan to upload videos about standings, league happenings, etc.--even potentially broadcasting an "RHA Game of the Week." The YouTube channel is @rollerhockeyassociation9475

Please hit that subscribe button, and look for videos on at least a weekly basis (if not more frequent).

Are you able to link the channel here? Nothing shows up when I search for it.

That's probably my fault. I've never started a channel before, so I don't think I had it published. Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/@rollerhockeyassociation9475

I'm wondering if we should collaborate in some way going forward, if that would be amenable for you. I could feature your stuff on here, or if you have or are planning to have a channel, there, whatever!
