Stadium capacity option
There is an option to make all ballpark factors the same, would there be a chance we could get an option to make all ballparks capacity/seating the same? Kind of a pain to go through every stadium.

My guess is that a problem would be that, while the park factors affect game play and stats, capacity affects the financial side of the house. So, by changing park capacity, you are dealing with a different set of metrics and factors. Not saying it can't or shouldn't be done. But why all the same? Is it like a control, so everyone - literally - is on a "level playing field"? More like all other sports, in other words, where the filed of play dimensions do not change.

It doesn't cause anything drastic whenever I've manually done it, I like to have my teams all have a level playing field for financial stuff. Being able to seat more people is definitely an advantage financially, and I always use equal seating.

Curious - how does equal seating create a level playing field?
That would only work if every team sells out every game. Last edited by Bluenoser; 11-13-2022 at 08:10 AM. |

You'd probably be better off just setting the "Visitor's Share of Gate" to 50% so both teams get half of the gate. It won't balance out to exactly even for all teams across the league (because of attendance, game prices, etc.) but it'll be a lot closer.

If a team can only seat 30k, they can't make as much money as someone with 50k. Y'all missing the point, I'm not trying to ask for anything that balances stuff out, I've solved this in my leagues by making all the seating equal. I'm just asking for a mass edit button for stadiums so we don't have to individually change things.

Not sure how this is better off than just making them equal. I'll manually do it as I do. A mass editor for stadiums would be nice is all I'm saying.

I do it so a team isn't "capped" at a lower stadium than another. Obviously some teams sell more, but it doesn't handicap anyone. It allows them to all compete equally financial, not be held back. Works outstanding for my leagues.

My understanding is the visiting team doesn't get a cut of the season ticket money. Is that correct?
