Same old nuisance issues

Seems like the same things I bring up every year:

League screen with standings: It's preseason, you show preseason stats, good. Why not show preseason standings? It's pointless to have all zeros.

Roster screen defaults to G-LD-RD-LW-C-RW Good, logical. If I sort for anything else, points, goals anything, then click POS to go back, it sorts them by RW-C-LW-RD-LD-G. WHY? Why not the same default logical position sort.

Roster screen: I hit the drop down for any stats. If I'm in preseason, why not default to preseason stats. Why show all zeros. You know I'm in preseason, why show me a meaningless screen? Default to Preseason, Reg Season or Playoff stats based on where we are in the season. Logical.

Expansion draft and AI. As I mentioned in another thread, something in the AI isn't right when Igor Shesterkin (or a player whose ratings look like his) at his age and salary, is left unprotected. No team would do that, especially not a contender.

Likely because preseason counts for nothing, even though we may use it as a way to see how players are performing early.

True. But by comparing my team's stats to the other teams, it helps us figure out where we need to focus our attention.

The stats issue for pre-season games isn't really much of an issue, it's the Shesterkin situation which is concerning.

I mentioned the Shesterkin issue somewhere else.

The other I have listed in my "nuisance to the user" list. Just a minor thing but if you're in preseason show me preseason stuff, as "unimportant" as it may be.

It only happens if the teams are allowed to protect a single goalie and the "must protect NMC" option is turned on. Halak, the other Ranger's goalie, has a NMC; Shesterkin doesn't, so in that specific situation the Rangers have no other option but to expose Shesterkin. If you leave the NMC-protection off, they protect Shesterkin and expose Halak.
