For most seasons finishing with the most wins of any team in the league, then losing 3-1 to a team you crushed all season in the division round?

'Cause I gotta be close to it.

As a Dodger fan, ouch. Completely fair, but ouch.

I'd just like the formula. If I squeak into the playoffs on the last day, I get promoted. Easily. Every time. When I dominate, Divisional round, I lose game one (usually in the 9th or in extra innings), win game two, and then lose both away games. Like a formula.

So, I guess that makes my question, how do I fire Dave Roberts as my manager?

I don't know how to fire Dave Roberts, but I often find myself wishing I could resurrect Sparky Anderson.

The limiting factor is perfect league which is fed by 24 diamond leagues. Only the champion advances and is replaced by 24 losers from PeL. But, if 12 players advance from gold to diamond, then probably 15-16 would have to relegate from diamond to gold to keep diamond leagues fixed at 24 leagues. Relegating half of diamond league players does not seem like a good idea to me, to solve your particular issue. Plus, if you are really, really dominating your conference, you won't lose in the DS.

Getting back to Perfect League has proved impossible.

Three out of my last four years have been 1st round exits (well, 2nd round after the 1st round bye) - best record in the division, swept by the worst record to make the playoffs. 1-3 this year, lol, so at least I didn't get swept.

Yeah, flaming out early in the playoffs when you dominate the league with MVP and Cy Young three years in a row, lmao - it's trying.
