Multi-Select
When looking at any of the lists in the game where there are radial buttons next to player names, allow us to shift+click to select numerous players at once

This has been a feature for years, on any screen with radio buttons, without needing a shift/alt/ctrl + click.
I can do this now, and have always been able to, by clicking as many "radio buttons" as I want. If I want 5 players on a list of 20 to be scouted I select the 5, right click on any of the 5 players (the game notes there are 5 selected in the popup box) and select "get scouting report". All 5 are added to my scout's list. This works for any type of action you want to do that is in the right click popup box. If I select 5 players on a list of 20 and want to deselect them the only way to do that is select the whole column and then deselect it. Otherwise to deselect one player it's as simple as clicking his radio button off. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the request and there are lists that don't allow this?

What if you want to select 20 players though? Or 50? Just 50 clicks instead of one shift+click? |

I have views and filters built to give me lists of players that are similar that I would want to select. As an example I could load a list of players and then want to select all ratings of 50-60. In a filter I remove all players that are not 50-60 and select all. I would also add that a selection of lot's of players didn't enter my mind. In my game other than the draft it's rare I click on more than two to five players at a time. If/when there is a large list of players, I get around that with views and filters.
An example of large lists would be me setting up my draft. I build a filter for "draftable pitchers" or "draftable batters". I build filters for Pot/Ov and scouted level. Anyone already scouted at very high goes on my draft board (short list). Anyone less needs to be scouted. I can now filer to Pot =>50 and scouting >very high. Select the whole column and add to scout list. I finetune the search so I add around 30 to 35 players at a time so I don't overload the scout. As more 50+ players are moved from my list to scout to my draft board I lower the Potential in the sort to bring in more players that are below very high. By the time the draft rolls around I have ~400 players on my draft board, all scouted to "very high" ranging from Potentials of 80 down to 40 to cover all rounds. (sorry for long explanation but figured more info better than less )My understanding of shift+ click would mean select player A, go down say 20 players and make him selection B, which would select all players in between, is that correct? I could certainly make this work for something like my draft example though in my mind it wouldn't be easier, or harder for that matter. Maybe it's just a different path to the same end? Or maybe it is better and there are uses I haven't thought of. ![]() I'm not against the suggestion if it makes the game better for you. It seemed to me you could do what you needed to in the game "as is" and were perhaps missing a way to get where you wanted to go. Though as I said above multiple player selection didn't enter my mind as I was using filters to get around that.

You'd be hard pressed to find any suggestion that would take less time to implement than this one, a feature so ubiquitous elsewhere that it feels out of place for it not to have been added a decade ago. As opposed to doing 50 clicks of radial buttons or 50 clicks in making filters Is akin to saying that there's no need for shortlists since the game has a Notes section where you can manually enter names to make your own shortlists already. Technically true? Sure. Useful? Not exactly. Ideal? Not remotely Last edited by ezpkns34; 12-10-2025 at 09:34 PM. |

![]() As far as filters? I only create them once and can transfer them to each new version of OOTP. From there it's one or two clicks to use for anything that comes up. Not saying it's better or worse, just that it works for me, doesn't require 50 clicks, and IMHO let's me be more precise in getting to exactly the data I want. Your mileage obviously varies. ![]() I do agree it sounds like an easy add, and I hope you get it.
