Deleting FA offers without alienating player...
Hi all, I'm playing through a season to test out a quickstart and noticed that (probably when I advanced a day at some point to make sure scheds were all generated and so on) teams had made free agent offers.
For this game I'm playing, I don't care about offending Justin Verlander since his salary demand was like half the payroll of my independent team (I think I advanced before re-setting the salaries in the indy league, but anyway). But for replay purposes and (hopefully) for sharing, I don't want downloading OOTPers to be stuck with these offers and have to offend players to save their budgets. Is there some way to clear this flag or re-set the player's hatred for the particular team?

Not possible to reset. Best thing you can do is reload your most recent save from before the day was simmed.

It occurs to me that in the future I should set all teams to be controlled by me and not the AI before I advance a day. Learn from my mistakes folks!

Another mistake that was made... when I built the rosters for my rival league, I assigned players manually and then ran the automatic contract and finances tools. Possibly more than once. But in any case, I think I ran the tools too early in the process so mediocre players were given high salaries because at the time they were "superstar" players to the AI. So Brett Gardner, say, ended up a "2 star player" by the time spring training started but had a superstar salary.
This made all the teams have zero budget room or, in the case of Vancouver and their Verlander contract, were $25M over budget (with the rest of their budget about that size). So, I couldn't do much with international amateurs or really make any trades except minor league trades because my team and all the others were some-way way overbudget. So, don't do as I did!
