Historical Cleveland Guardians?

Any reason why the Guardians are Cleveland’s nickname in historical mode?

MLB licensing forbade the use of Indians and required the replacement of it with "Guardians" - even in years they were the "Indians". It's like that in the main game too. No one likes it but it is what it is. Absent the license, none of the MLB teams could be used.

Supposedly it was the team owner not MLB

Can of course be changed back to Native Americans or better yet Spiders if you want.

Though have to do it every season unless you turn off evolution.

Also the classic team name doesn't have a generic logo
