Need some help friends

So playing a season as general manager and one of my tasks is to fine a hometown player. How exactly do I find a hometown player? I've tried different searches but not sure how to do it. Thanks for the help!

I believe it is signing a player that is from the same city or town as the team itself. So, St. Louis Cardinals would sign a player from St. Louis. I don't know if the game gets picky about exact matches if a location is close, I assume the answer is yes.

Use the Find a Player option. I'm signed in as the Red Sox GM at the moment. See how it has a box to find a player "From Boston area".
