Sorry if I missed something, but is there something to the Platinum series cards? Like are they going to be a mission or something or are they just fancy looking cards?

They are only available for 2 months (from release date), and there will be a mission for them.

After this set is removed from packs, there will be another set.

When were the first platinum series cards released? Just trying to figure out when their 2 month life will end.

June 16th.

That means Platinum Series 1 should end and PS 2 should be introduced either August 11th or August 18th. So they are in packs for at least 12 more days.

In the future, you can check the "Perfect Team News" tab in Perfect Team mode and if you scroll down you can see when each set has been released.

Platinum Series 1 cards appeared in June 16, and we are planning for those cards to be discontinued on Aug. 11, to coincide with the This Week in Perfect Team episode where we release Platinum Series 2.

I've been pulling a ton of these lately, enough that it's made me reconsider the mission aspects (and the dupes are still selling for reasonably good prices).
