Elite Starters Simply Not Generating

Here's a look at the top starters in my quickstart league (2027). Not a single player rated 70+.

On a similar note, it is super rare to see a pitcher have an "outlier", or truly remarkable season. I get maybe one or two starters a year with an ERA below 3.

Is there any fix that can be done on my end to produce elite starters?

Did you start the league on a previous patch? There was a bug that prevented high-quality pitching prospects from generating, so if you generated prospects in your league while that bug was in effect, those prospect cohorts will not give you much in the way of pitching. Even if you patched up, it will take some time for the bugged cohorts to work their way through the system. I think the best thing you can do in that case is abandon the save as broken due to a bug.

Otherwise I don't know what the problem is. As of the most recent patch this is not something I see, high quality starters seem to generate fine now. My current save in 2030 has four 5-star starters, all under the age of 30, two with off-the-charts level stuff. Did you change any settings from default?

I did start the league on a previous patch which would explain the lack of elite pitching prospects. However, you'd expect there to be players of all ages still performing at elite levels. I haven't changed any settings that would mess with this.

For example, current #1 pitching prospect Grayson Rodriguez has capped out at 55 overall and a mid 4 ERA guy. Obviously not every prospect realizes their potential but that's just one example of a young pitcher not fully developing, even those not auto-generated by the game

I don't know the details of the stuff bug, it was never fully explained what went wrong. It's possible it could have impacted development too. Try starting a new game on the most recent patch that doesn't have so many game-breaking bugs in it and see if the problem still occurs.
