Ratings/100% Scouting Question

I am creating a quick World Series league for someone on Twitter. All players are imported from AS seasons and many were MVP/CYA/Fireman for the import season. Why are the ratings so low? What did I do wrong when I changed the top 2. Scouting is off.

I assume it's the usual import settings. The historical database, weaken at less than 300 AB etc. etc. Is it because all the players are so great that the baseline is thus so, so, very high? So, the bell curve is shifted as it were because it's all-stars relative to all-stars?

Before I changed the rating settings, I think several of them were 4-5 star cur/pot. I changed that then I rebooted. Now I can't seem to get the ratings back.

Curious from your picture- do you generally play with AI evaluation weights set at 100% for both Ratings and Current Year Stats concurrently? If so, have you noticed any particular effects of doing so (or using other combinations of weights totaling more or less than 100%).

Did you go to Game Settings?Global Settings and hit the "run Full Re-scouting" button yet?

No. Normally i don't touch it but I was trying to put more weight on the imported season. This is where I think the ratings went askew.

Twice. I did it after I did the double 100 and again when I turned Scouting off.

Not sure you did anything wrong at all. Maybe this is a learning moment for me, but...

In a league of nothing but superstars, don't some of them have to be below average when rated against each other after a scout recalc? Always assumed stars were relative to other players at the selected level.

I have been running some tests and, while star ratings definitely change relative to the rest of the league, I am having trouble reproducing some of the more extreme drops such as Clemens and Gibson.

May I ask which settings from the screenshot below you have setup differently? Also let me know if you are using the Talent Development Engine instead of recalc as that will affect the ratings of the generated players as well.

I was thinking the same thing. Seems to me that the settings should be 50-50 concurrently. Not sure how the scouting AI processes weights totaling greater than 100%. It may disregard one of the evaluation weights.

Mine is a fictional league not historical.I don't have that screen in a fictional league.

I switched it to 50/50. I don't see any changes.
