Doubleheader vs first time opponent?

Had this happen 2 seasons in a row now. Wondering what could be causing it. I get a double header in April in the first series against an opponent.

Judging from your off day placement, what is a Thursday on your schedule was a Tuesday in real life. Braves @ Mets was rescheduled from 4/4 to 5/3 (a Tuesday) because of the lockout.

This is 2028. No lockout that I'm aware of unless I missed something.

Did you expand the league? Because you wouldn't normally get an off day on a Saturday or have a series start on a Saturday by default. I know for me, the schedule got kinda messed up when I expanded the league, and I have the same weirdness where some series start or end on a Saturday. It's like everything is a day off from how it would be in real life. I never really found out why, I've just been rolling with it.

No expansion. Did uncheck the force-start on Thursday checkbox.

Here are my schedule settings

You are using the 2022 schedule file which has the double-headers that resulted from this year's lockout.

The 2022 schedule will just get recycled over and over. You should go to the mods schedule section and upgrade.
