SMLB Needs Owners

The SMLB (Simulated Major League Baseball) needs 10 owners to round out their league for the 2003 season. The SMLB is a first year league starting in 2003 with hyper-accurate rosters and salaries tweaked from TotalMinors. Preseason trading will be allowed and arbitration and a salary cap will be enforced. New stadiums already under construction will be added in the correct seasons as well. The SMLB is about a week away from starting preseason trading so sign up now! Ownership of OOTP5 and use of AOL Instant Messenger are mandatory. The website and other pages are currently under construction. We have a great group of owners that are very involved and active in all aspects of developing our league.

1. Your first AND last name.
2. Your email.
3. Your AIM nickname.
4. Reason for wanting to join the SMLB.
5. Please list any other leagues that you may be in.

Arizona, Atlanta, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati, Detroit, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, San Diego, San Francisco, and Tampa Bay.

I want to encourage anyone who is interested in being a charter owner of a great new league to apply. We have a very dedicated commissioner, a league council system that allows owners to give meaningful input to policy decisions, and some all-around general good guys in the league. We have a nice mix of experienced owners and enthusiastic newbies. The website is going to be awesome, and all we need are a few more active owners who are passionate about baseball. Please come join us!

Thanks for the great posts guys...I really appreciate it. All comers, we have 3 spots left. They may be Detroit, Milwaukee, and Tampa Bay, but this is where the challenge comes in. See if you can trade and build your way to an elite franchise. All markets are set to average, and we have a $90 mil salary cap...so it can be done. In addition, we will now be hosted on the OOTP servers and have the use of BOSI as well.
