Home/Road Volatility
In my 4th season of PT this year, and I can't for the life of me figure out why my team is so bad on the road. Currently as it stands my home record is 19-8, and my road record is 9-19. If I am not mistaken it has been pretty similar in the seasons past. Any input to what might be causing this?

Park Factors might be a place to start. Is your Team and Home Field built one sided or any other extreme factors??

Pretty standard stuff. I think I made the fence lower in right than it is in left but nothing crazy. Definitely haven't build my team to be able to play one sided or anything. We do lead the league in Home runs every year though.

Maybe my division is just crazy good this year so I'm losing the road games but winning at home? I'm in 4th place in my division but in the last wild card spot also.

You could well be playing against teams
With tough HR factors. You can check your home-road splits for your hitters to see if that's the case.
Also, you may have the 5th best record in your conference, but if you're 4th in your division you're not going to make the playoffs because all 3 division winners go and that leaves only two WC spots. |

What gives
Quick update on this. I am now 29-10 at home and 13-25 on the road. Settings on my home ball park are basically completely standard. Are there players that play significantly worse on the road than they do at home?? This just seems pretty extreme in my opinion.

If the teams you're up against have altered their park factors in a way that your team has a tough time handling, that would be an explanation for your road record.
Ballparks can be altered to nerf or boost batting average, home runs, and extra base hits for LHB and RHB. So if you have a team that's pretty decent hitting vs R, but not so hot vs L, and you go into a park where the owner has set it up to nerf the bejeezits out of teams vs LHP, and then throws nothing but LHP, your team will tend to suffer offensively. Their team and park may boost the offense vs RHP. If you have RHPs going, their lefty batters will feast. If you're also throwing a lefty, then it's a coin flip. You can only set your park factors on Sunday after you're out of the playoffs, up until the season starts Monday morning. Then they lock in for the week. The very active managers will set their park up to best favor the cards they have.
