Easy Way to Consolidate Complex Leagues?

I just started up with OOTP 23, and as I did I remembered something I used to change. Because I handle all of my organization's promotions/demotions, I used to think that there were too many teams to handle - and still do.

When I played OOTP 21, I got rid of all the complex leagues and just used the four main (AAA, AA, A+ and A). That had it's own issues, but generally worked well.

Ideally, I'd like to consolidate all of the rookie leagues into one, where each MLB team has an affliate. Right now, there are 3 rookie teams, which most MLB teams having 4 total squads.

Is there a good way to just make one rookie league? I'd like to do so without dumping a ton of good players into the FA pool. Am I going to create a new league, go into each team to move the players and then go back and delete the other leagues or is there an easier/better way?

One way would be to increase the roster size for your Triple A league to whatever number you want, move the players you wish to keep to AAA, then either delete or release the remaining players, then delete the leagues.

If you want the other players to go to FA, no need to release them, just delete the leagues and they will become FA's.

You can reclassify the AAA league to whatever you wish it to be afterwards.

It's funny, I used to do as you do (I even posted the other day about turning the DSLinto an independent league). I haven't mapped it out perfectly but it looks like some teams that dumped A-Short Season/High Rookie teams) (NYPL/Appalachian/Pioneer Leagues) added extra complex league teams. I'm just finishing setup on a game where I moved the extra affiliates back into an A-SS level. Anyway.

When I consolidate rookie teams, I go into commish mode, set scouting to 100% accurate, then move the handful of guys better than half a star onto one of the rookie teams. I usually rename the city of the team I strip to be "delete" so I can keep track. Then like bluenoser said I just delete the whole team and figure the leftovers that I miss will develop in an indy or international league.
