Guardians logo critique
This is a very thorough takedown (from the left!) of the Guardians logo and font which I found very interesting. I am making novice logos these days and it brought up things that I couldn't previously "actively" see. When the new logos came out, I remember thinking they were fine, or fine-to-bad, but I now can't unsee the problems mentioned in this article.
You can expect another attempt at it from me one of these days, to go with the many fine Spiders and assorted concepts already on this board. ![]() |

I think the similarities were designed as a link to the past. I feel is if they were trying to please both camps. A rebrand with the artistic feel of the old logo. I don't think this guy would have been happy with anything they did, unfortunately.
