Wont Let me complete trades

When I click to complete a trade it takes me to a screen that says no trades found.

Basically, once you click complete trade, it takes you to Trade Log page, without an entry for the just completed trade. It then shows the trade as pending in your trade info. I was able to get one trade through, but the rest just vanish into a pending state.

I am using a Mac, with the Big Sur operating system. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game several times, with each of the Beta releases, as well as this mornings general release, and had the same problem. Strangely, on my work computer, it works fine, which is also running big sur.

Happy to upload any files you need to dig into this. It happens with every new game I create.

I am having the same issue. When I select "complete trade" in the initiate trade screen, I'm moved to the "trade log" screen, but my trade is not completed. Instead, the trade appears under the "pending" screen. It's as though the game thinks this is a trade that was offered to me by another team and I haven't responded.

I downloaded the game on Steam and am playing on a PC.

We'll check this out. I'm not sure if we'll need anything from all of you on this or not, it depends how easily we can recreate it ourselves. But if we do need anything, we'll let you know.

I am having the exact same issue. Every trade goes to pending and the submit offer option is greyed out. Please advise.

I also have the same issue. I submitted a trouble ticket (#15452) with my error log and system info.


The issue is really a game stopper.

We're working on this, but we are not able to recreate this ourselves for now.

So it would be very helpful if we can get the .dat files from your league from someone having this problem and also info from you on which specific trade offers you're trying that are having problems, so we can recreate the issues in the save.

You can either ftp those to us directly or put them up on Dropbox or Gooole Drive and post the link here.

Another question, is this happening to you all in an online league or a regular single-player game?

There really aren't any cases where this should happen in a single-player game (and we can't preproduce this in single-player mode either), but it would be expected behavior (and not a bug) in an online league.

Hi Lukas,

I was trying to figure out the FTP thing and tested it again. Trades are working for me this morning. I didn't change any settings so I have no idea what happened. I am playing in a single player game with standard settings, so it all seems pretty strange.

I will keep an eye on this thread and let you know if I have more issues. But, I wanted to post to let others know to try again.

I just figured out the issue. It has to do with the screen display. The "complete trade" button is located in the same hit box as the "trade log" button. You can either change your display or click the right side of the "complete trade" button.

It is/was happening to me in single-player game. As someone had mentioned, it likely seems like a button location problem. If I click just to the left of "clear" and not over the underlying "trade log" tab, the trades go through. The SAME PROBLEM happens with the OSA/Director scouting toggle at the top of the "Initiate Trade" screen. When I click "OSA," underlying "News & Logs" tab is actually selected. To confirm the problem, in the "shop a player" screen, if I hover my cursor from "head scout" over to "OSA Rating," I can see both the "OSA rating" button and the underlying "trade log" tab highlight. The same happens with looking at a player profile and the clicking the "Action" dropdown selects the underlying "Baseball News" tab.

Ok, so looks like, if possible, switching to a higher resolution should fix things.

For those of you seeing this, what resolution are you playing the game on? We can try to fix this for the lower resolutions where this is an issue.

2880x1920, the recommended resolution for my screen. Changing the resolution does not fix the problem. However, maximizing the OOTP window DOES fix it.
