Never Happened Before..HELP?

Starting a universe, got everything set up like I want (I thought) and when I was letting AI Sim 1st day because my team didn't play ...and WHAT? 3rd game ended in a TIE which I'm not wanting. I thought I had set for the man on 2nd from 10th on. Found the TIE option. GRRRR Is there a way to just reset the league where I don't have to go through everything again setting league up or is it just tough...? Start over???

Thanks

It's obvious question, I know, but when was the last manual save file hit? After the set up but before the tie?

I'm banging my head trying to think if it auto-saves when it does the preseason predictions, because that would be a convenient restore point. Let me set up a game, run three games, and pretend my power went out and see where it restarts...

Seems like there would be a reset option. 3 hours to setup league like I wanted. If no reset I'll shut down for the night. Tommorrow all over again I guess

Nope tried starting a saved game. It still shows game tied but the 2 teams are now 0-0 but the W/L over last 10 games shows rach team at 0-0-1 This sucks..and now I'll go bang head against wall. lol

As long as you have to set it up again why not save as a template at various stages of setting up so it would be easier to create the league if you had to start over.

Nah, it went all the way back to the start. The Opening Day didn't create a restore point

Anyone that's ever done that kind of set up, and there are plenty of us, feel for ya. I might decide that two games were played under protest (too much pine tar on the bats or something and never made up). Or that the Commissioner established ties to quicken the game before the MLBPA sued him saying he didn't collectively bargain it and the settlement eliminate ties going forward. I'd just want to start playing that much. Sorry, man...

Word of advice - no, not backups, you've learned that one.

Whenever you create a league, especially spending a lot of time, once it's ready to start, take a copy of it and put it away some place safe. If you ever have to start over, there you go. No spending 3 + hrs building it again.

Does under the mattress count as a safe place?

Whenever I think a newly created league is all finalized and I am ready to start the sim and/or play, I create a quick-start and I make a world template of the newly created league!

You just never know if and when you may need a fresh copy of the your league...

When I create a league, I save templates along the way at various points. So when I have the league structure and MLB teams the way I want, I save a TEMPLATE ONE. Next I'll setup the AAA teams and names. Save TEMPLATE TWO. And so forth. There is always something to fine tune after I play the first year or so, and then I go back and fix it as another template. A lot of work it may seem, but it saves a lot of time.
