No Holds Barred Baseball

We are looking at launching this league on OOTP 23. If you are planning on buying the new game and want a new fresh league with the updated game and rosters we will be moving quick when it's released

We encourage you to talk smack and be active.
This league is not for the thin skinned. If you can't dish it out and take it then don't waste anyone's time and get your feelings hurt. Second guessing trades is highly encouraged. Not a league for snowflakes or the weak after all the fans always second guess management in real life with this being said while it is ok to talk **** about the game there are lines you should respect. It’s ok to talk about how bad of a GM someone is and the bad deals they make after all the fans do this all the time but let’s not talk about anyone’s family, spouse, kids, dogs, cats, pet pigs, race, sexuality or anything like that. This is a baseball league after all. If you can’t take the criticism, then you aren’t ready for the big time. I would like to see an active slack community with a lot of baseball talk, wrestling talk, joking around or whatever else is on your mind. If you want a league where the chat is strictly business this probably is not the place for you.

2021 MLB league twisted into the world of professional wrestling.
You pick your MLB team and then you get to rename the team after a professional wrestler and the city would be their hometown. 1st come 1st serve on names. No duplicates. GM can choose to rename their manager to a wrestling manager associated with their team. The franchise you pick is basically the players you start with.

Stadiums!
Gm creates stadium names and dimensions. Minimum 250 ft to any part of the park and maximum 600 ft. wall height you choose from 4 ft to 40 ft tall. all stadiums start with 35,000 seats.

All things being equal.
Fan interest of all teams start at 50 of 100. Fan Loyalty of all teams start at 5 out of 10. Market size of all teams start at 5 out of 20 and local media revenue all start at the same amount of $41,500,000.00 which is the league average at game start. This should make for an interesting start to the league. What would have been a large market team may need to immediately reduce payroll while what would have been a small market will have some payroll room up front.

Realignemt.
After all teams have been relocated and renamed, we will probably do some realignment. The AL will be renamed WWE and the NL Will be renamed to AEW. Teams will be placed in league based on closest affiliation and division based on location the best we can to keep 15 teams in each league and 5 teams in each division

Stadium improvements.
In the post season you can do stadium improvements for 15 mil cash this can add 1000 seats which will increase market size by 1 Or 15 mil cash to change your stadium dimensions again. This is in the offseason only. You must post in customization channel between end of World Series and first sim of Spring Training only. The first stadium improvements can be posted immediately after the 2021 World Series

Staff member learning seminar
send a staff member to a learning seminar for $250,000 from team cash
Maximum of 1 staff member per year.
You can Change/Customize:
- Manager style, Hitting Coach Focus, Pitching Coach Focus
- +10 Handle players, +10 Handle Veterans, +10 Handle Rookies to all 3 of these categories
This is in the offseason only. You must post in customization channel between end of World Series and first sim of Spring Training only

If you just joined.
New GMs can rename stadium and team immediately to another wrestler. Any stadium upgrades will carry over to the new GM if they rename.

Minor Leagues
All teams will have a AAA, AA, A+, A and 2 rookie level teams. One rookie league will be a full season and the other a partial season for recently drafted players. Each team will also have a Winter League team at the AA level to help with player development.

Winning at all levels will matter.
If you win MLB World Series, you will have 3 million cash added to your team
If you win Winter League championship you will have 2.5 million cash added to your team
If you win AAA, AA, A Championship you will have 2 million cash added to your team
If you win A- or either Rookie leagues you will have 1 million cash added to your team

There is a fine line between rebuilding and tanking.
Failing to achieve 50 wins will result in your 1st round pick being pushed back 10 draft slots. As a reward for not being one of the bottom feeders with the worst 10 records in the league all teams except the 10 worst will be able to rename one of their draft picks to anything of their choosing and change their hometown. The worst 10 are rewarded with a top 10 draft choice unless they really sucked and failed to get 50 wins.

Sim Schedule
Only sims 3 days a week we want quality not quantity. Sims will be 7 days. With notice we may have an occasional special live sim event added.

Coaching and scouting system on with low scouting
20-80 ratings
Injuries normal.
Universal DH
10/5 rule turned off. We encourage trades
We will be using Slack for our communication.
We will be using Stats+
We will have updated reports and emails going out

Work your DFA! I’m not a babysitter
If a player's DFA time runs out the player will be released. I will not send messages and hold up the sims to figure out what you want to happen. That is not fair to the other GMÂ’s. Work the file or if you are not able to please send instructions to me prior to the sim.

Other Rules
I don’t think we need any crazy contract or rule 5 rules. OOTP has fixed most of the issues with these things over the years. Maybe just some limits on options and bonuses. Also, if returning a Rule 5 pick you need to post in completed trades that you are returning and tag the team they are being returned to. Failing to post this will result in a 1 million dollar fine taken from team cash if available or a negative balance if not available. We will discuss rules as members join
