strange transaction for Jackie Robinson

I ran a test from 1901 thru the 1990's, with historical transactions on. As far as player movement goes, at first everything looked normal & matched real life, as expected. However, I looked at Jackie's career in OOTP and found that he never played in the majors. Strange. Why?

On his history panel, it shows that he was signed - as in real life - by the Dodgers on 10/23/1945. However, on that same day he was released by the Dodgers. (A week later, in OOTP, he was signed by the Birmingham Black Barons, where he played 3 seasons before signing with the Spokane for two years, then retiring. I all five of those season he batted well over .400.)

Before finding this, I had already spot-checked (for other reasons) dozens of random big-leaguers, and found nothing - transaction-wise - out of whack. But once I saw Jackie's odd history, I checked the other early negro leaguers - the first ones to make the majors, right after Jackie:

Larry Doby, Hank Thompson, Willard Brown, Dan Bankhead (also a Dodger), Satchell Paige, Minnie Minoso all looked fine... Roy Campanella and Don Newcombe, however, were both signed by the Dodgers on the same date (1/15/46: actual signing date unknown but this matches the date in OOTP's historical txns file) and were both released at the end of their first season (both on 11/13/46).

I then checked nearly every significant Dodger from this time period (late 40's thru mid-50's), including Jim Gilliam & Joe Black, both of whom were also former Negro-leaguers whom the Dodgers signed. Their history looked fine, matching real life. The only other one I could find that had a strange/early release was not a Negro-leaguer: Vic Lombardi, who IRL played with Dodger org from '41-'47, but who in OOTP was released by the Dodgers in 1942.

So I don't get it. Does anybody have any idea what might be happening here? For the record, this sim is 1-year recalc, with development off. No significant injuries were found in these players' histories.

That's wild. Suggest you upload the game to the errors site.
