Statistics

Have this posted in the main general discussions but there doesn't seem to be too much activity over there so I'll post it here too. Might help somebody.

I've always been a huge fan of baseball but just started playing OOTP this year - I'm hooked. But being new to OOTP, I realized in a hurry the importance of statistics, as opposed to just the ratings provided for pitchers and positional players. I was always aware of stats but never really ever dug that deep into them, so I struggled at first going back and forth from OOTP to the internet (thanks to Fangraphs) looking stuff up. After a while of doing this, I realized there had to be a better way, so I created a couple of charts with the stats I found important. Now I could keep them in front of me when I was evaluating players. I'm happy to say they made life a lot easier for me. Now, these charts are only meant as estimates and most of the information comes from Fangraphs, I just put it in an easy-to-use format, at least I think so. So, if you're like me and new to OOTP, I hope these help. If anybody sees anything here that's not correct, please let me know and I'll fix it. They are pdfs, so you'll have to download them to open and print. Cheers!

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but it was just linked in a different thread

Wanted to give a heads up about BABIP that high or low BABIP (for hitters Or pitchers) isn't necessarily good or bad. A lot depends on the type of hitter or pitcher. A lower BABIP for someone like Ozzie Smith is generally more concerning than a lower BABIP for someone like Adam Dunn

BABIP is a good indicator of luck (or lack thereof), especially the further from .300 someone gets
