Feature request: Career splits
One thing I don't see on the player page that I think is essential is career splits. I can see single season splits, but there doesn't seem to be an option for career splits.

Career Batting>Splits>
leads to options for vs. left vs. right postseason regular season Same for pitchers under Career Pitching Stats. The downside is you can only view one at a time

What I'm referring to is the breakdown of every single situation that you get when you click on the current year's batting stats. RISP, Bases Loaded, home/road, day/night, literally every conceivable situation. I want that for the entire career, not just the current season.

While there split and double split is better than nothing, it can certainly be improved. We are stat based game. Up the game! |

I guess then it would come down to how big one wants their save file to become? Wouldn't adding all of that, consider all of those situations for every player, for every season, from both the right and left side, have a huge effect on the database being saved?
Right now I run only my MLB on "very high detail". The minors are on "normal". If they added all of the situational stats I would hope they would not add it to the "very high detail" category as it's something I would not need or want. Make an "extreme detail" or a check box to include it in one's saves. As it is my game has less than 9,000 players (I use ghost players) so even if I went to high detail for my whole game that is only 9k players it has to track this for. But how many players would that balloon to for my 24 completed seasons? To me most of that is just "for fun" information. It doesn't tell me much about what the player is or is not. RISP is dependent on baserunners getting on. Night and day means nothing in an OOTP world. How many times did a guy come up with the bases loaded and how did he do? More "fun" info that would be cool to have, I guess, but, again to me, not at the expense of a huge save file. Not against them adding it to the game. Not a coder but have to think it just comes down to making a place to save all of that info? In any case good luck in your quest if you pursue it through the suggestions thread. |
