Anyone else have postseason rosters resetting?

Two out of the past three Sundays, I have made changes and submitted my rosters early in the morning (I work at 7) to prepare for the my postseason matches, including carrying a 14th hitter (pinch runner), changing to a 4-man rotation, and operating with less lineup "rest," and these rosters have reset to my regular season configurations by the time the games are played.

Two weeks ago, I caught it in time. Today, I was finishing my shift just in time for my team to lose game 7 of the sub-league series with my demoted starter on the bump. When I saw the box score, I realized things were amiss, and every single change that I made had reverted to last night's settings.

Anyone else having issues with this? Yes, in a perfect world I could be more active and leave the novice pre-planning for the nubs that aren't competing for a gold championship. But it is what it is... Sunday is my busiest work day. So my hope is that if I get up early to make sure my rosters are correctly submitted that I might have a fighting chance.

It probably wouldn't have mattered anyway, and my team could've NOT blown a four-run lead in the deciding game or lost in the 11th inning, regardless of the pitcher. But since it's happened twice in a month, I'm wondering why I bother trying to prepare at all.

(overly emotional moment over)

It's the baseball playoffs.

It's literally a crapshoot, being the best team doesn't matter in the postseason. This isn't the NBA, where the best teams generally win.

Baseball, the game, is based around too much randomness. There's a reason when someone is batting .750 two weeks into the season we talk about sample size.

The same goes for the playoffs.

In the last 15 days David Fletcher is batting .522/.522/.804 (47 ABs). Just imagine those games were your playoff games. That's how baseball works.

The changes I'm not sure about though. The only thing that I can think happened is you were changing them during the day while sims were happening, and you canceled out of a download to keep making changes and that doesn't update it to the server when finished, iirc. Even if you hit submit, because your PT files would be out of date.

I've never had it revert rosters, but I have had it undo lineup and game strategy slider settings on me.

The workaround I found for that was to make my changes and submit, open up another team, close it, then re-open my original team to make sure the changes were still there.

If I was able to do that without a sim running, my changes stuck. If a sim ran in between, then it was 50/50 my changes were still there, but going back and re-doing them fixed it.

It's a lot of clicking and busy work to fix a problem that shouldn't occur.

Nobody here is debating any of that. My issue isn't with the randomness of the postseason; I set my lineups at 6 AM as stated (clearly not during any sims) and they've been reverting. Giving me a lengthy "Did you turn your computer on?" answer about the flukiness of the postseason and whether I understand how to submit my lineup in the right timing is not what I'm asking for. I'm sure that decades of being a baseball fan have taught me enough about SSS to skip a primer on the nature of my favorite professional sport when I'm trying to ask about a server issue on a non-consequential game.

Thank you to anyone that has actual suggestions on what I can do differently to avoid this in the future.

I was rushing this morning, and since my second team wasn't in the postseason, I closed out after submitting instead of making changes there as well. Another sim wasn't going to run for six hours, but I wonder if there's something happening on Sunday mornings in prep for the postseason that's causing my changes to get booted. Two weeks ago when it happened, I checked my lineups on break (around 10 am) when I was entering tournaments, and I noticed the issue and fixed it. That second time I submitted, it took.

Next time, I'll just have to set my postseason changes at work later in the day if this is a legit concern. But the login/logout/login routine is something I had to do on '21 as well.
