Pitchers thtowing 160 pitches

I had 3 pitching prospects in rookie league, and ghost players enabled. Figured my prospects would just get normal playing time. Instead they were throwing 160 pitches per game and getting rocked. I set them on pitch counts in their individual player strats to no avail.

The only thing that worked was going out and signing a bunch of worthless pitchers to the team. Which defeats the purpose of ghost players.

So what am I missing or doing wrong to make ghost players work?

Set pitch limits. (Right hand side of individual player strategy dialog box).

Then, select override team strategy from the pull down menu (Same location, slightly above pitch limit option).

wont that only work for the teams you control?
what happens to the rest of the league? do you have change every team as commissioner?

Yep, did try that. Had it on override, quick hook, and on 90 pitches. They were still throwing 160 pitches. Ghost players were just ghosting me I guess. I had to sign a bunch of warm bodies to fill the staff for it to stop.
