Battery / heat issues
I posted in another forum a comment about the game being very heavy on battery consumption. I now have another related comment that I feel raises it to the level of being something that needs fixing.
When I went to bed last night, I left the game as the last thing that I did. Then I plugged my phone in for overnight charging. Usually, it doesn't matter what app I last used and it charges fairly quickly with the charging block that I'm using. When I woke up, I picked up my phone and felt that it was noticeably and unusually warm in the case. When I opened up my wallet-style case, the screen was on, showing the game that I was in (9th inning, losing 7-3). Most notably, though, the battery was at 82% after charging all night. I don't remember what it was at before I went to sleep but it definitely wasn't below 70%. My expectation is that it should have been fully charged after being plugged into the charger for 7 hours, no matter what app I last run on it. iPhone 8+, iOS 14.5.1 |

We made some changes in the first patch that should have helped with this. Can you please check if it's still as much of an issue?

Battery problem seems to be better
With the latest version, I don't have an issue with the battery any more if I keep my iPhone plugged in. I haven't tried to see what the normal drain is without being plugged in yet but this is a definite improvement.
