Some custom cameras for v22
These are my custom camera views for OOTP22. There is a file individually adjusted for each v22 stadium in the attached zip file.
The original default cameras are untouched in this file so you won't have to worry about losing them. The ootp.3d files need to reside in their respective stadium model folders. Please make sure to make BACKUPS of your originals in case you want to go back. Start OOTP22. Then click on settings on the splash screen and click on the trouble shooting tab, IE. settings>trouble shooting>open folder containing customizable data This will open a window that contains the ballparks folder. I will use the Angels stadium as an expample. open the ballpark folder: ballparks>models and you will see a list of all of your stadium folders. So for the Angels you would open ballparks>models>angel_stadium_of_anaheim place the new "angel_stadium_of_anaheim.ootp3d" file here replacing the original. repeat for each stadium and you should be good to go. I would advise keeping a copy of these files in case a patch overwrites the ballpark folder with default cameras. Along with these cameras I would suggest these settings under the "general game options" when playing out games. Camera Movement Delay: 0.50s Camera Transition Time: 0.5s Enjoy Screenies showing the camera menu and the general game settings with camera speeds. |

These are for the stadiums that come with the game, but what if I want to use them in the stadiums created by Silvam? For example, would dodger_stadium.ootp3d work in replacing Dodger_Stadium_1962.ootp3d? Or is this a whole separate can o' worms?

I don't know. Maybe rename my dodger ootp3d to match the name of your historical dodger stadium? Make a backup of your original and drop the renamed file into your folder. See what you get. Maybe it works. Maybe it works but you have to finetune the cameras to get them just right?
If you try make sure to come back and let us know how it goes. |

Figured it out.
First, I set up your cameras in the game-provided stadium - then, from Silvam's Dodger Stadium, I imported those angles from the game's DS. Took a couple of tries (something about saving after the import), but I did get it to work. Quick question: So I tried out your HP Action angle, and it seemed rather static. For example, on a long drive to the OF, the HPA camera stays with the fielder but doesn't zoom at all. Near the play's end (or even after), the camera may switch dynamically, but still with not much of a zoom in. (I'm using your Zoom Factor of 18, too.) Am I missing something here? Thx much for your hard work, beepollen Last edited by beepollen; 04-21-2021 at 07:26 PM. |

The OF has a few issues on when and where it cuts with the dynamic camera IMHO. My thinking is this is something that will improve in patches and in the next version. The game needs to have a better connection between where it knows the ball is hit (it does use the field grid so is aware) and what camera it should select to show the play. I know with all of the possibilities that may be asking a lot when users can put cameras wherever they want But I think in time it will get done.I didn't set zoom to 18 it has always been there in my game or, at least I assume so since I never touched it. ![]() Best advice I can give is do what I did to to test different settings, use replay. So if you want to try different settings to see how if affects that ball you just had hit to the OF in your game you can... change any of the settings (for instance increase or decrease zoom) you desire and watch again in replay to see the effect. You can do this over and over mixing and matching settings. This is how I found the "right" settings with camera movement and transition times to make the play flow the way I wanted. In my opinion the flow works well for both IF and OF, it's just getting the right camera for the throws from the OF that isn't quite right. YMMV ![]() Hope that helps. |
