Stats running together--unreadable

Take a look at Larry French's stats. Pretty much unreadable. Not sure if this is a bug, or if it's by design, because it's been around for like 22 versions now. Looks awful. I agree. Hard to read.
The widgets/fonts need to be larger, more like they are in 3d.

Or the Widgets made wider and the columns properly spaced. Not like there isn't enough screen space to do so.

So I said I was going to try and give 2D Modern a shot. Second game, I'm trying to arrange the player labels on the field. As I'm moving the Center Fielder, the label disappears behind the unmovable pbp box. How the hell would I get that back?
