Players' Game Ratings

Does anyone know how a player's overall game ratings (GR, OGR, DGR) as shown on the Roster screen relate to their individual game ratings shown on the Game By Game screen. For example, are the overall ratings the average of their last 10 games or what ?

It's the season average, including exhibition and playoff games.

Just wondering, it might be more helpful if this reflected their recent form (eg most recent 10 games ?). In the second half of a 82 game season (or 56 !?*!) how a player performed in the first month or so shouldn't carry much weight as to his current performance..... just a thought

Yeah, that'd make sense. We were talking the other day about what stats we wanted to expand in 8, maybe we can show the overall/recent trends in GR in a better way.
