Quick Question...Scouts Ability or Tools .

Hi ,

When your scout is labeled as judging players on Ability or Tools ,what exactly does this mean ?

I see a players ratings as his Contact, Gap Power, Home Run Power etc etc as his Ability (or how the scout sees his ratings) but what are his Tools ?

Tools scouts are more likely to find superstars, but will also have more bust. Ability scouts will give you more players with average ML talent and fewer bust, but less superstars.

for finding talent most people on here swear by highly favor tools scouts.
