NFTs?

Has OOTP considered creating NFTs? I thought about this after reading about Sorare, a fantasy soccer game which is built on the Ethereum blockchain: https://decrypt.co/resources/sorare-beginners-guide. Seems like something similar might be possible with Perfect Team?

Why would OOTP be interested in creating non-fungible tokens? It has absolutely nothing to do with the company or its products.

OOTP might not be interested, but com2us is exploring the market according to an article published 5 days ago.

Here is a tidbit of the article:

"Com2uS plans to analyze the new global sports game market where NFTs are introduced and discuss and develop various business directions based on its expertise and know-how that has provided sports games based on official licenses such as MLB, KBO, and NBA all over the world."

It doesn't mean it will happen of course, but I wouldn't rule it out completely.

I can believe that Com2us would be interested, and I suppose it is logical to assume that they would drag/force OOTP into the scam.

It's not the worst idea really, for the company.

People are already willing to pay a lot of money for digital baseball cards...it's not that big of a stretch to NFTs from there.

NFTs in their current form are going to be one of those things which pops up on future shows looking back at ridiculous things from past years. I really hope that OOTP stays far away.

I wouldn't worry about it being part of the game. If it does go anywhere at all, it would probably just be something separate the company would sell to make money. Like a digital copy of some awesome baseball card art. I don't see the harm in something like that.
