Rule 5 Player can't be demoted next season

Drafted rule 5 and kept on major league roster or disabled list for full season. Next spring training I cannot demote the player to AAA.

I believe the major league rule is that the player has to be active for at least 90 days (i.e. not on the DL) to clear their Rule V status and be able to be optioned. Not sure if that is specifically how it works in OOTP though.

If they don't get 90 days on the active roster, rule 5 status remains until they hit that. I believe it should say how many days they have left on the contract page.
